Kali Mitti Urtey Rung is an Urdu language novel.It is Qaiser Saleem’s seventh novel. Qaiser Saleem lived in an African country for several years and during that stay surrounding countries had been on Saleem’s focal lens. One of the rural and backward towns of Chad grabbed Saleem’s attention. The observation and study of this rustic setting strung a story in his mind and evolved as a novel “Kaali Mitti Urtey Rung”. This French colony area is very poor. People of three different races and colors have taken up residence here. A family of Whites has made the local population their slave through conspiracy and oppressive dealings. This family takes full advantage of the poverty, ignorance, innocence, and the simplicity of these people.
